Executive Headshot Photoghraphy

Imagine that you've just been asked to speak at a major conference, featured in an industry publication, or invited onto that podcast you've been following for years.
Then comes the dreaded request, "Send us your headshot."

That moment of panic? We can relate, but it doesn't have to be that way. Your professional image shouldn't be an afterthought. Instead, let it be an image you’re proud to share.

In a world where first impressions happen on LinkedIn and decisions are made before anyone walks into a room, your headshot is doing the heavy lifting. It's speaking for you in boardrooms you haven't yet entered. It's making connections while you sleep. Ultimately, it's either opening doors or keeping them firmly shut.
At Madison Avery Studio, we help craft the face of your business. Drawing on years spent capturing performers in Austin's live music venues, we've mastered something invaluable: how to make people feel comfortable being seen. How to capture authentic moments that tell your story. How to build trust in seconds. We bring that same raw energy and expertise to executives and entrepreneurs who are ready to show up differently.

Why work with us?
We care about helping you show up authentically, so this is no ordinary headshot. Our sessions are about more than a great image (although you'll definitely get that). It's about giving yourself permission to be seen, to take up space and to own your expertise.
Ready to transform how the world sees you? Get in touch today and let's create something unforgettable.

Our signature headshot experience goes beyond the typical "stand here, smile there" session. We create space for authentic moments and focus on the details others miss.
We help you show up as your most confident self – the version of you that closes deals, leads teams, and makes it happen.
Hi! I'm Madison Avery Somerville, founder and lead photographer at MAS.
My photography journey started in 2011 while a student at the University of Texas. I was in the process of applying to the art program when my dad gave me his used Canon 5D. Talk about love at first sight. I proceeded to take a deep dive into Austin's underground music scene, armed only with my camera and a flash.
Those nights capturing performers and attendees at iconic venues like Red 7, Emo's, and Mohawk taught me something invaluable: how to help people feel comfortable being seen.
Then COVID changed everything, and that unexpected break gave me clarity on what to create next. Now, I own Madison Avery Studio, where we help executives and entrepreneurs show up confidently in an increasingly digital world.
I often draw on those lessons from music venues – making people comfortable, capturing authentic moments, and telling visual stories that matter. Because here's the truth: we’re creating more than mere photographs. Together, we’ll create images that help you be seen authentically in a digital world. And in business, that makes all the difference
